Thematically, this track is based on Kumiko from "Kumiko: the Treasure Hunter" who referred to herself as the "conquistador" Don Quixote. Another influence is the song "Rain Brain" by the pillows.

This song is about being born as a mediocre person with big dreams in a world where everything worth doing has already been done. We are all told that we are special and have a purpose, but in reality, most of us are not going to impact the world significantly.

...Maybe a little bit of delusion is not so bad.
